Big Event
Through service-oriented activities, Big Event promotes campus and community unity as students come together for one day to express their gratitude for the support from the surrounding community.
On Saturday March 25, 2006, the men of Beta Theta Pi teamed up with the ladies of Pi Beta Phi to participate in Big Event. Big event is a service project put on by the students of Texas A&M to give back to the local citizens of College Station and Bryan. Our team split up into several groups to do a wide assortment of service projects. The projects ranged from raking leaves, brush clearing, painting, picking up trash, and washing windows. It gave both organizations a fulfilling experience as everyone enjoyed each others company, as well as the opportunity to give back to the community.
